Coney Island
Coney Island is a peninsula and former island of southernmost Brooklyn, New York City, USA, with a famous beach lying on the Atlantic Ocean. It's home to 60,000 people, as well as what was once the largest amusement area in the United States, attracting several million visitors per year. Although that era is long gone, the remnants of the parks are still there, some maintained by the residents. While it's no longer the biggest, it can still be the most interesting and varied.

Nicole Cooper: She pushes her glasses up on her nose, glancing out to the water, then back to him. "I'm pretty curious as to your research, but I do not believe it proper to ask right here. I hope at least, it has been productive for you."

Atlas Booker: *He nods deeply as he turns back to the water as well* "You would be correct madam it would be negligent of us to speak so frivolously of it in such an open place." *His hand raps out a tune on the hand rail for a moment before he looks over to her.* "However, as a random sampling, i can inform you of one thing...the primary stage as i stand now. Is finding the proper clarity."

Nicole Cooper: "Do you think it will take you long to make all your observations and have more outcomes?"

Atlas Booker: *He shakes his head and moves his hand in a horizontal motion* "No it should take only a matter of days, perhaps if i am studious enough, a day. I have performed this particular experiment many times over, it simply must be repeated however in each location, for optimal results of future experiments. One would never utilize a new resource without first testing it would one?"

Nicole Cooper: "Of course not. You need to have a base to work from first," she nods, watching his hands as he moves them. "Then you can add the variables once you've established the basics."

Atlas Booker: "Indeed, and of course the best part, extrapolate ad infinitum!" *He says with a great look of glee on his face as his hands spread wide to the water before chuckling and looking over to her once more.* "It is always an exciting prospect to build on what one has already built."

Nicole Cooper: She smiles watching him. "Indeed it is," with a pause she glances out to the water, and says quietly, contemplatively, "It is very peaceful almost like a song, isn't it?"

Atlas Booker: *His face becomes serene as his hands fall to the railing and a quiet smile replaces the look of glee.* "It is a most efficient lullaby, i swear by it as a snake oil dealer swears by his illegitimate goods. It has been mine sinces days immemorable."

Nicole Cooper: Just the mention of snake makes her crinkle her nose for the briefest of moments, but she smiles. "It's something that helps me when I start missing home. I've got a place out in the country so I can have my horse with me and that helps. I like to watch the stars. It's a bit harder here with all the atmospheric pollution. Oh sorry...I'm rambling now."

Atlas Booker: "It is a completely excusable misstep my dear, i have been accused of such many a time, and i will admit there is proof of it having lasted considerably longer." *He rolls up his sleeves absently, though they dont really go any higher.* "The stars are as brilliant and luminous as always, in that you can take comfort irregardless of where you may be. They are at their brightest however...in the mid pacific."

Nicole Cooper: "You're a sailor....?" she asks, "I'm not meaning like out on a submarine like if you were military. I guess that shouldn't be a stretch," she observes while pulling her hair from the ponytail and putting the scrunchy on her other wrist while shaking it out. She closes her eyes and stretches a little out toward the water and to feel the air on her face. "You said you were named for a ship....sailing seems then to be a natural progression."

Atlas Booker: "A brave and correct deduction." *He says as he turns to her once more, his hands clasped together and shaken* "I have spent many, many years upon the oceans grand vista's, and while i did serve some time in the armed forces, it was never as a mariner."

Nicole Cooper: "That's the word I was trying to think of. It had escaped me. Mariner." When she sees him put his hands together like that she gently touches them, letting her rough hand [certainly not soft and delicate!] give him a gentle squeeze before letting go again. "I cannot even begin to imagine the great things you must have seen. Maybe one day I'll make a simulation for that," she says more quietly.

Atlas Booker: *He gazes down at her hand for a moment and blinks, but smiles back to her.* "My dear, a simulations, while useful, are of no comparison to a first hand experience, perhaps..one day, i will show you some of the wonders i have seen. But, not within this daily solar cycle."

Nicole Cooper: "Of course not, but I found they helped me when I needed to figure something out too. I would like to see those wonders sometime....I'm sorry....I'm a tactile person sometimes. I didn't mean to invade your space....." she apologizes and starts rambling again. "I should probably get back. I've got to drive back out to the country and sunrise comes early."

Atlas Booker: "A moment which is not lost on my schedule as well." *He nods emphatically as he offers her his hand.* "I to, must be prepared for sunrise, as its qualities are of great importance to my work. And think nothing of your tactile appraisal, it was simply astonishing as i have not been touched in many years."

Nicole Cooper: She takes his hand, clasping with both hers and holds them there a little longer this time. "You need to change that then. Let this be a good start then," and clasps his hand gently, but firmly. "Good evening, Atlas. And best of luck with your experiments."

Atlas Booker: *His other hand clasps over hers shaking it as well for a moment before releasing it.* "A pleasant reprieve to you as well Nicole, i await our next meeting with considerable anticipation. The best to you and your endevours."

Nicole Cooper: She smiles and draws her hands back. Taking the scrunchy, she quickly pulls her hair back up into a loose ponytail. "Until that time.....And don't feel shy to call me if you need a little company or a second opinion." With that, she starts walking back the way she came, turning with a wave to him.

Atlas Booker: "Of course." *He waves energetically in return his other hand in a fist held aloft, before he turns and oddly enough, begins walking towards the water.*

Nicole Cooper: [[Thanks for the scene!]]

Atlas Booker: ((Your welcome, thank you as well! sleep well))

Nicole Cooper: [[You too. Good night!]]
