Times Square and the Theatre District Broadway from 41st to 53rd Streets and cross streets west to Eighth Avenue; east to the Avenue of Americas (Sixth Avenue). Once quite fashionable, the World of Darkness has twisted Times Square into one of the world's biggest fleshpots. By day it is crowded with commuters and office workers, but at night crime runs rampant. Prostitutes ply their wares on many street corners, their population fed by the constant stream of desperate runaways arriving on the buses at the nearby Port Authority.
The heart of the district lies on a short private street next to Broadway between 44th and 46th streets. Vehicle traffic is forbidden on Shubert Alley, which houses both the Shubert forbidden to vehicles, theatergoers attend the Shubert and Booth Theaters,as well as the famous Sardi's restaurant.
