Queens Dynamic Residence
This is a Dynamic Room for scenes which take place in someone's residence in this part of New York. Scenes in this room are considered closed, unless uninvited PC's have some ST approved way of spying on the occupants.

David Fennington: ((stupid internet making me double post...))

Amanda Murphy: well if you remember I told you that what we can do is more flexible- there are those among us that can read minds- I don't happen to be one of them or we could take care of this tonight- but basicaly they would look for signs that you are a plant and they would look for hidden comands- things that are like back doors in code if you're familar with programming. I assure you they really aren't interested in personal information not related to one of those 2 subjects- I had to go through it myself when I got here- also with your back ground I'm thinking of trying to find someone that can do the same thing physicaly to make sure they didn't implant anything in you

David Fennington: "I see... I recall something similar. Very well, if that is required then I will not be opposed, so long as my privacy can be ensured beyond determining if there is something in there I do not know about or not"

Amanda Murphy: *shakes her head* they won't be able to avoid what ever surface thought you have as far as I know- but more than that they won't be looking for anything not related to our security- they really don't care about your bank account numbers or who you're sleeping with or anything like that

David Fennington: *smiles* "Good to know"

Amanda Murphy: *nods* yeah I wish we didn't have to take precautions like this, but like I said we were just at war with the technocracy- and then there are the other things that I really don't know much about other than to stay clear if I ever see them

David Fennington: "Right... you mentioned them briefly"

Amanda Murphy: well I have permission to fill you in on a lot more what do you want to know?

David Fennington: "Sure... blow my world away" *smiles*

Amanda Murphy: well why don't I start with what I am, one of the more common terms used is mage- yes I know it's archaic- but it's still common. We devide ourselves into 10 groups 9 traditions and 1 group that is outside the traditions.

David Fennington: "Why is it outside?"

Amanda Murphy: the 9 traditions are very old- the one I belong to is one of the newest and we've still been around for centuries- they are comparitively young. I expect that given time their will be 10 traditions on the council- but they tend to be very slow when it comes to change so I don't know if that will be with in any of our natural lifetimes

David Fennington: "I see... Please continue"

Amanda Murphy: Honestly I have permission to try and explain all the traditions to you if you like- but I'd rather let members of each traditon explain there own tradition so it's not coloured through my experience. As for my tradition we call ourselves The Cult of ecstacy. History isn't my strong suit so lets just skip that. As for what we believe- all the traditions have wildly varrying beliefs among there members, but there are some things you can generaly count on. Cult of Ecstacy tends towards experiences of some kind.

David Fennington: "Makes sense, given the name I suppose"

Amanda Murphy: *nods* that is the way a lot of them work- for example another one of the groups is called Hermetic- and they tend to deal with a lot of sigils and words of power

Amanda Murphy: ((and as David's connection seems to have died we will fade here- unless he really wants to drive home very late at night to come back the next morning to continue the discussion she will put him in a spare bedroom she has))
