The Mercury Lounge
This is one of the better places to catch a live show. Upon walking in, you'll find a 30-foot long candle lit antique oak bar and strangers coming together in a small, but cozy space. Past the long velvet curtains in the back, is a plain, squarish, brick-walled space, with tables in front of a large stage and standing room behind the tables. And it has one of the best sound systems in the city: full-bodied and clear, loud but without a brutal edge. Mercury Lounge books both local and touring bands, from alt. rockers to indie/folk. Because of the clubs good reputation, you might also expect to see bands typically found in larger clubs, who appreciate this quiet venue.

Sabastian Fontane: He nods slightly, "Fer sure." Taking a sip from his drink as he looks around and back to Lee, eyes wandering his art briefly before looking up at him again, "Get dat in New York?" Nodding slightly to his arm closest to him.

Lee Minardi: * He shakes his head and takes another sip before answering. * " Nope. Pittsburgh. All of it on that arm. "

Sabastian Fontane: He nods to that, "Groovey..." Concitering for a moment, "Good work." Nodding slightly.

Lee Minardi: * He nods... * " Thanks. I was scared as hell when I did them. Its hard working in a mirror for the first time. I am comfortable with it now though. Whoever did yours did a nice job too. "

Sabastian Fontane: He raises a brow and then nods looking at his, "Due named Chris, back in Iowa. Modification Studios iffen yer ever in the area an' wanna check it out." He looks at the arm again, "So, yer an artist den?" Looking back up.

Lee Minardi: " Yeah. I own a shop in Midtown called Dreamcatchers Ink. Where at in Iowa? "

Sabastian Fontane: "Waterloo." Shrugging, "Tiny compaired to here, only like thirty or fourty thousand people or some shit like that." A small sip from the glass, "But it's cozy enough iffen ya like all da gang waste dat da rest of da world is tryin' ta get rid of." A chuckle to that.

Lee Minardi: " Ah, okay. Never heard of it. Guess that I will look for the guy if I ever make it there. Should not be that hard to find. So what are you doing here? "

Sabastian Fontane: He shakes his head, "Specially since there's only like four places ta go fer ink there." Shrugging slightly and taking a sip from his glass, "My gran'ma died and left me her shit, kinda hard to move a house and a store so I came here." Said without any real emotion to the words, "But it works, kinda like da change ah pace ya know."

Lee Minardi: " Shit. If you got a house here you are probably sitting on a gold mine. Fuckers pay big for land around here. What kind of store did she leave you? "

Sabastian Fontane: He raises a brow slightly to that and nods a little, "Occult place a little ways from here, Triangles and Stars." Shrugging lightly, "Her name, not mine."

Lee Minardi: " Yeah, thats kinda lame. " * He takes another sip. *

Sabastian Fontane: He nods slightly, "Yeah, but it pays da bills right." Nodding to the bartender for another after he finishes his off, "Sides, would change it, but seems she had a little bit of a regular base an shit, so no need ta scare um off right."

Lee Minardi: " Nope. I am a little surprised that a place like that makes any money though. At least enough to stay open around this town. You working there or do you have people running the shit for you? "

Sabastian Fontane: He shrugs, "Think it is the coffee... And I'm doin' it, aint no use wastin' what bit I know about business and da money ta hire someone to ya know." Paying for the drink, and grinning back to Lee, "Sides, said it paid da bills, never said it made anythin' more den da ya know." A soft chuckle.

Lee Minardi: " Yeah I hear you. Dreamcatchers is the same way for me. I have two other artists that work there, but I do most of the work. "

Lee Minardi: " Anyway look me up if you need anything touched up. I am in the book. "

Sabastian Fontane: He nods, "Just might have to do dat."

Lee Minardi: * He drains the last of his drink and then heads off into the night. *

Sabastian Fontane: (Thanks for the play and have a good one.)
